Rescue is the primary task for Falck, but the preventive work also plays a very important role. This is performed by Falck Teknik, whose main task is to reduce the number of calls to the emergency call center.
 
Falck Teknik has a corps of installers of about 100 mobile technicians who are responsible for installing and maintaining fire safety equipment in businesses and public institutions across the country. Previously, the allocation of tasks to the technicians was done as follows: Installers got a stack of tasks—often up to three months of work at a time. The installers performed the tasks and returned their reports with documentation to the Accounts Department, which could then invoice the customers. Today, the heavy paper procedure has been replaced by an automated task and resource management flow with SimaTech Enterprise System as the focal point.
 
“We save a lot of time with SimaTechs solution. All processes proceed much faster and smoother than before. Our cash flow has improved because the time from task start to billing has become noticeably shorter. We get the money in faster than before,” says District Manager Ulf Søndergaard of Falck Teknik.
 
Fewer Possibilities of Error, Better Overview
Ulf Sondergaard says that, if you take postage alone, Falck Teknik has experienced large savings because of fewer letters between the administration and the technicians. The number of employees engaged in the manual paperwork is also reduced and the resources transferred to other, more value-added work.
 
“In the accounting department, we save a lot of time on manual entries and procedure. There is full integration between the SimaTech solution and our business system, so data exchange is automatic. It minimizes the risk of incorrect entries and provides a better overview of the business. We can always see how far we are in relation to the customers we have agreements with, and when we get new customers or we lose some, the data will be updated automatically everywhere,” says Ulf Søndergaard.
 
Falck Teknik has a small staff of managers in back-end, who via SimaOffice have an overview of all upcoming tasks and the installer’s location and resources. The tasks are assigned electronically and forwarded directly to the tablet in the car of the installer. Falk Teknik plans to expand the SimaTech solution with the planning module SimaOptimizer, which makes it possible to organize tasks automatically as optimally as possible.
 
 
“In addition to minimizing driving time for installers, we are able to begin to collect and analyze the driving time and customer time. It will give us valuable insight into the exact costs of the delivery, so we can price properly. We have a clear expectation that we will achieve the biggest business benefit in doing so,” says Ulf Søndergaard.
